Our Wicked Walkabout

One week and counting down!

This past week we started doing all those bits and pieces we need to do to be ready to leave.

We wanted to get new, matching, nesting luggage, so that we could both carry a lot, easily and, to be able to tuck the luggage away, once we are onboard.

We found the perfect set at Winners at Bayshore. London Fog. And the style is reminiscent of steamer trunks, which so matches the sea voyage vibe.

I’ve started collecting things from around the house to pack. Those little things…

My dresser looks a mess, but it’s part of the process.

The beach and boats have been put away for the season. This, of course, required a last sail around the bay.

The indoor plants have been brought back in, and the house is packed with green.

The laundry is done, well, we will need to do one last load before we go.

The beds are ready for the house-sitter. And any of her guests.

The “kids” have moved to their winter home, happy and eager to greet us as we walk by.

The only thing left to put to bed is the bike… but the weather will be nice this week… so one last ride, then to bed it will go.

This time, next week, we will be on the road…
