Back in the US of A

A lovely morning in Sault Saint Marie.

We began our journey with our Host Charlene, at her country church.

A true country stain glass!

The stain glass was in memory of a young man, I could not take a picture of the plaque, as the sun was not helpful

From church we headed to the bridge, and crossed into the US.

The crossing was the easiest/fastest we have ever had. “What are you up to?” Was the only question…

From the bridge we again turned west, and drove along below Lake Superior. The colors again were beautiful!

We stopped, an hour in for a bio-break,… and again enjoyed a beautiful little park.

I have challenged myself to paint a mini representation of each day…

So as we drove, I pained the church

We arrived at our BNB, tired and maybe a bit cranky.

The front door was a bit of challenge to find.. and of course we walked around the building the wrong way.

The STAIRS! Not what we expected…

But the suite was lovely.

After hauling our gear up, we decided that going grocery shopping then cooking was not our idea of a fun evening.

We could see a place from our window, so thought we could eat there…

The “Dive”

But, as we got closer, we could see, it was not what we needed… it was a drinking hole, not an eating place!

We wandered a bit further down the road, and found Sammy’s Pizzaria and family restaurant.

Just don’t leave your kids unattended!

A beer and cider later, we felt better!

Beer and Cider… we look tired!

Back to the Bnb, and bed for the night!
