There is something about the thanksgiving weekend, the air has turned a bit crisp at night, the leaves have changed colours, and our minds and bodies just know it’s time to slow down, and just appreciated life.
So we did.
It was a joy to spend the weekend with family we don’t usually get to see this time of the year. The Durrett clan were kind enough to include us in two wonderful events, their friendsgiving on Saturday in their community clubhouse, then the family thanksgiving at Sheldon and Chelsea’s. As always, we ate too much, and talked too much!

We also spent some time with Gillian’s little sister, and had a lovely afternoon with two of her kids.

It was hard to leave, but we returned (kinda) to our wander, and headed out to Vancouver Island, to spend a few days with our granddaughter.
