It’s been a wonderful few days living on an apple orchard.
Our wonderful former Ottawa neighbours have hosted us in the Victoria area (Metchosin) for 4 days, at their beautiful farm on the shores of the Juan De Fuca Strait.

Unfortunately the rain (atmospheric river level 4) kept us indoors for a bit, although still great fun with their great nephew Ned and niece Willow on Saturday and the music bingo in the evening at the Loghouse.

Sunday was church at the Cathedral, and then brunch at Spoons!

That evening we had dinner with Ronette, and Mike and got to see Mikes 5 year pond project. Now I have some new ideas for mine!

Monday the rain finally stopped, and we were able to spend time outside, so we were put to work picking apples! Rick and RJ took a batch to the juicers, and Gillian and Theresa supervised some enthusiastic young people who came for a visit, and apples.

We got a quick break from the work, and went out to hang with an navy friend of Rick’s, we arranged to meet at the fabulous My-chosin cafe, forgetting that they were closed on Mondays, but were able to visit the property, while waiting for Glen to arrive. (We then headed to a Tim’s for the actual visit!)

That evening we were all too tired to cook, so back to the Loghouse for half price wings! We ate too much!
