Sleepless in Seattle

We started our day with a short walk over to the oldest Dive bar in Seattle for breakfast. The 5 Points Cafe and Tavern where apparently you can have a liquid breakfast there if you would like. (We did not)

The food was so good. We both had the Meat 3 way Omelette/scramble, and enjoyed the ambiance.

I could have taken pictures all day!

With our belly’s full we headed over to the Space Needle.

We enjoyed the views, and I even ventured out onto the rotating glass floor!

We then took the monorail to downtown! This kept running through my head…

A short walk from the monorail over to the Market, another iconic Seattle landmark.

Rick was disappointed that the fishmonger was not throwing any fish! But they did have big ass Lobster!

We strolled end to end, and along to the views of the harbour.

Then managed to locate some chowder. (I was still too full from the generous breakfast.

Best Chowder found down here!

Exhausted we headed back to the monorail, and to our hotel.

We had wee nap, then a quiet evening, and finished our pizza talking about the beginning of our cruise the next day and fell into bed looking forward to a good sleep and the next day.

At 4 am….

An alarm sounded outside, startling us awake… and went on for a while….

Leaving us sleepless…. In Seattle.

  1. PK here… I just LOVE Seattle. My Mom spent a great deal of time there as a child; and took me there for many holidays during my childhood. We went on the Monorail and up the Space Needle in 1962! Last time I was there was in 2014 with my Mom and sister. We did the usual attractions and added the Chihuly Gallery, Ride the Ducks, breakfast at Lola’s, free samples from Sees Candies and stayed at the Mayflower enjoying Lemon Drop cocktails at Oliver’s! Loving your Facebook posts and WordPress posts. Keep em’ comin’😎.
