Kona, a port on the Big Island
We were able to watch our approach into the small port of Kona. (But did not take pictures) and watched from our veranda was they began the Tender process.

We had signed up for a very short Glass Bottom boat excursion. Which was a good thing, the heat was quite oppressive.
We joined group 29, for our Tender ashore, and then spent a couple of hours exploring the shoreside sights.

We regretted not bringing a bathing suit or towels ashore, as there was a small beach beside the pier, when others were cooling off. (We did take our shoes off and stepped into the sea!)

The glass bottom tour was delightful. And we saw a number of fish… including Surgeonfish… aka Dory! (just keep swimming)

We returned to the ship just after 1:30

We again, spent the afternoon poolside, cooling off and having lunch.
A short nap, and then we watched as we weighed anchor and headed back to sea.

Off to dinner and then ready for the party!

Syd (the Pig) even got dressed up (I forgot to take his pic). He put on Lipstick….
