Just keep swimming…

Kona, a port on the Big Island

We were able to watch our approach into the small port of Kona. (But did not take pictures) and watched from our veranda was they began the Tender process.

Tender approaching the ship after dropping the first group of passengers

We had signed up for a very short Glass Bottom boat excursion. Which was a good thing, the heat was quite oppressive.

We joined group 29, for our Tender ashore, and then spent a couple of hours exploring the shoreside sights.

Boarding our tender
Welcome on Pier
The seashore drive
We bought Hawaiian shirts and a dress here
I painted, until a truck drove up and blocked my view! 🙄
The church and palace info
I loved this tree!

We regretted not bringing a bathing suit or towels ashore, as there was a small beach beside the pier, when others were cooling off. (We did take our shoes off and stepped into the sea!)

Umm, had to pose with my Lifeguard glasses!

The glass bottom tour was delightful. And we saw a number of fish… including Surgeonfish… aka Dory! (just keep swimming)

Our boat!
The dolphins joined us on the way out!
Some coral
There are fish here… just hard to see in picture! (Camera shy)

We returned to the ship just after 1:30

The view from the Tender as we returned

We again, spent the afternoon poolside, cooling off and having lunch.

A short nap, and then we watched as we weighed anchor and headed back to sea.

The navigation deck, from our veranda, as we sailed away into the sunset!

Off to dinner and then ready for the party!

Guess who we are!
Ready to party!
We were entertained by Shrek
And donkey!

Syd (the Pig) even got dressed up (I forgot to take his pic). He put on Lipstick….
