Phase two – complete

We arrived!!!!

After 23 days on the beautiful Westerdam, we arrived in Australia.

The last few days were busy! We had dinner and an evening with friends, saying “see you later” and exchanging contact info. (Thanks Bob and Phyllis for hosting!)

We attended the “city on the sea”. A great presentation and it ended with many of the crew (who where available) joining the fun

Our steward, front and Center!

And then, the final night the captain told us that we would be meeting the harbour pilot at 4 am, and start our entrance into Sydney Harbour around 5 am.

Alarms were set.

We woke before the alarm, we were so excited!

We, like many others, oooed and ahhhhed at the sights!

We then had breakfast and went back to bed! As we were not disembarking until 9:15 (which ended up being 9:30 in the end)

We said goodbye to our suite. And see you later to Westerdam and headed into the city!

Our friends had a hotel and offered to store our luggage (thanks Tamara and Dan!!!) so we were able to explore freely

And we did!

Unfortunately, we got caught in the downtown core just as a protest was going through, but managed to catch an Uber, with an amazing driver (shout out to Danny the Uber driver) and made it to our lovely airbnb, our home for the next few days.

A quick shop, and drinks poured, home cooked meal, tv and bed!

Looking forward to starting Phase Three!
