The quiet side of Blue

The day started with cleaning out the van. Getting the last bits ready for the next part of our journey.

We then headed out for a tour with Clair, to see the other side of the Blue mountains.

In my opinion, the Real side. The not so commercial side, the side where the real people hang out. And where the views, although, maybe not so “picture postcard,” are still stunning.

We first headed out to the small community of Richmond. Gotta love how my ‘hood & this ‘hood have the same names.

The Colonial name, and the traditional name for the area
The cricket grounds
It’s still looking like Christmas!

We then headed up the mountains, passing over the Hawkesbury River… also, from home. And to Hillbilly Cider, where I had a paddle/flight of their offerings. And some yummy Pizza. We forgot to take pictures of our food and drinks

Not sure why the TP…

I had:

  • Cloudy Apple
  • Crushed apple
  • Sweet Julie – my fav
  • summer Berries
Love it
The truck!

We then headed to the botanical gardens. Another garden to make me jealous.

Then we headed to other wonderful lookout! Yellomundee Regional Park, overlooking the Nepean River

So beautiful
The view, and the sounds!

We then headed over to Penrith, for drinks and dinner with Clair and Matt!

A wonderful day!
