Today was Sydney Opera House day.
It was iconic.
It was bucket list.
It was UNESCO world heritage.
It was AUSTRALIA!
It was bigger than life
Our day consisted of a tour of the opera house, followed by lunch at the Opera Bar, and concert in the concert hall, Handelâs Messiah.
Aaaaahhhhhhh.
I could probably just stop there.
But I wonâtâŚ
Here is the Photographic evidence:

We then wandered to the meeting spot, and while waiting met a few Canadians.
One couple from Vancouver, the other, from Plantagenet (which is about the same distance from Ottawa as Braeside.. but the other way)

We then headed over to the Concert Hall for a peek

From there we headed over to the Theater, where the Ballet troop was practicing for the Nutcracker which was on later that day. We were not allowed to take any pictures there.
We then went outside, as the tour guide explained about the white tiles (self cleaning! I need to get some of the those)

I canât tell you everything about the tour, but it was well worth the price of admission!
We then headed over to the Opera Bar for lunch, our tour included lunch. We bumped into the couple from Plantagenet, and they found a table, but it was only for four people, so we shared! Turns out they will be in Melbourne for new years, like us, so we traded contact info, and might connect!
(Funny story, they run a wedding venue, and sheâs a wedding officiant⌠lmao)

The food took a bit to arrive, so we ate quickly, and headed back to the concert hall.
10 minutes to spare!

The concert was Amazing, the choir FILLED the space, in-fact, at the first âWONDERFULâ the whole audience jumped it was so loud!
After the concert, we headed outside

We then took the tram back, and relaxed for the evening!
The trumpets and Tympani sounded!
Hallelujah!
