Changing location, next stop… Tasmania!!!

We did another relocation yesterday.

Left Sydney, and flew to Hobart, Tasmania.

Our flight was later in the day. So we packed up our suite in CBD Sydney, and left our bags with the concierge, and headed out to wander again.

We decided to spend our day at the Botanical gardens.

Lovely way to spend the day.

The opera house, and bridge… framed in the gardens
And again…
In the herb garden pavilion.

We then made our way back to the hotel to pick up our bags (and a quick stop to the art supply store to replace a lost Watercolour brush, I will be visiting that shop again! Then we headed to the airport via the excellent public transit Train.

The experience with Virgin Australia was 100% better than the last flight.

We landed in Tasmania. Excited! And tired from our busy day.

No travel is easy… and it has been so far… so of course… snag

The rental car kiosk was empty… no staff to be found.

After waiting 1/2 hour. The teller arrived and we got our car, a Toyota Yaris. Definitely smaller than our last vehicle. And of course all the controls are opposite!

After a short drive, (turning on the windshield wipers at every turn) we arrived at our hotel for the night, which had a lovely cooler in the lobby full of adult beverages.

So with the advice of our desk clerk we indulged!

Tasmanian Cider and Beer

The next morning (today), we headed into Hobart, to start our exploration.

First stop, Battery Point, and the Salamanca Market (which I can’t say without thinking of Breaking Bad… Ding, Ding)

Love how this was written from the American point of view… it confused me for a second.
Didn’t I see these guys in Sydney the other day? I think they are following us.

We found a news stand… and were able to send our message to Jimmy!

We then headed out of the downtown, and explored the coast, ending up in the suburb Sandy Bay.
