Sandy Shores

We left Bunbury, and headed back towards Perth on Saturday.

We drove along the shore, seeing the beaches and a flock of Swans

Many black Swans

And then drove along a fairly dull drive, into Perth. We were able to check into our AirBnB for 10 am, so we wanted to get there, settle in and do some grocery shopping and orient ourselves.

That so DID NOT happen… the AusCycling Road National Cycling Championships were happening in Perth… and our BnB was smack in the middle of it, and all roads were closed, and we could not get to our place. So. Plan B, we found a city parking lot within walking distance… and walked over. Exhausted. Nap, then some groceries and rescued our car in the evening after they had cleared up the cyclists.

The next day was Sunday, so we walked to the cathedral where we were last week. (As the cycling was still on)

The walk back; I took many picture of the architecture for future Urban Sketch projects…

Today, we headed north to Lancelin

Wow! The sands!!!

The beach was lovely, and we enjoyed the views.

The beach
The Jetty.

Then we headed over to the Dunes.

Incredible. They rent dune buggies, ATV’s and Sandboards…

We then headed back to beach to just relax, and dip our toes

Avoiding the surf!
That’s better! Shoes off
Mini

We then went and had some lunch overlooking the beach

Don’t feed them
“Did you drop a fry??”
Heading in, love the character of the doors
Our view at lunch… will be a watercolor…

It was a wonderful sandy day 🏖️
