The Great Ocean Road

Yesterday we left the beautiful town of Winchelsea, (although, we are debating returning there, before we fly to New Zealand, as we enjoyed it so much)

We headed back to the coast, and began our journey on the Great Ocean Road.

Our first stop, a lighthouse!!!

The light house had some stunning views around it

We then continued along the road… stopping here and there to see the sights

The “official start”
Spout Creek beach. Where we had picnic lunch
and dipped our toes.
The waves, and then a large one crashed into me and I was soaked!

We mostly drove, and savoured the views, we did not take as many pictures as we could have, but as we know, the picture never does the view justice.

More winding roads and stunning views

The road then swung inland for a while. We once again… drove off the map!

Oh oh…

We continued along, arriving at 12 Apostles just at 3pm… the tourist spot was packed! Hundreds and hundreds of people, so we continued to our motel, which was 1 km down the dirt road, past the parking lot, checked in and had a nap.

The view from inside!

We decided to get up early the next day and visit before everyone else got there. Good decision!
