Well… today marks the last day of the first half of our trip… tomorrow we move to “less days left, than have been”
We got up; woken by the Roosters and Kookaburras, had a coffee, and headed out to see the 12 Apostles, before the crowds arrived. The tourist kiosk opens at 10 am, so we arrived at 9, there were a number of people who had the same idea… there were still a large number of people there, but not like when we left, an hour later!

By the way, there are no longer 12… as the sea has claimed a few, don’t actually know how many are left. There are at least two that have fallen, you can see the rubble in the foreground of the pictures.
We then returned to our cabin, had breakfast, and headed out for our second adventure. We headed further along and went to the Lock Ard Gorge. Named after the ship that crashed there..
We were going to take our selfie of the day at the 12 Apostles, but someone (yes me) forgot the sign… so we took it at the Gorge instead.

As the tourist busses were finally making their way to where we were, we decided to head into Port Campbell, and enjoy the beach there. You’ve seen one cliff face, one gorge, one “bridge” you’ve seen them all! lol. And the water called!

The water was definitely refreshing! As it’s the Indian Ocean, off the Indian-Antarctic Ridge… much further south than Esperance and Western Australia, which was also pretty cold! nothing like the Pacific in Queensland!
Back to our little cabin for lunch, some New Zealand flights booking (it’s only 36 days away!), naps, and a little creative time. 🙂
