Culture X2

We are again downtown to enjoy the culture of Canberra. This time we took a bus going in a different direction.

Waiting for our bus
The mini version.

We then arrived at the National Museum of Australia.

I will admit I spent more time looking than taking pictures.

The walkway… reminded me of wave rock
The entrance

We explored the exhibition entitled The Great Southern Land

The Bunyi trees
The croc and canoe… there is a story here..
We also went through the garden

We ended our day with another dip in the pool.

The next day we checked out and drove to the National Art Gallery. We spent most of our time in the exhibit about Ethel Carrick (painter) and Anne Dangar.(potter and Cubist painter)

ricks favourite – Manly beach
My fav – the Flower Market.
My Mini in the style of Anne Dangar.

There were a number of other exhibitions that caught our eye

We then had lunch outside

The cafe
My version… finished later… I had no orange with me!

Then off we drove to Goulburn. The next city on our wander back to the coast.
