It’s not always stunning views

Well, today was rainy… and foggy. Which meant that our drive from Bluff up the east coast was not as stunning as it may have been otherwise. But we certainly got glimpses of what it might have been.

Another windy day of driving

Our first stop of the day, was a small location, over looking the Curio Coast. We visited a family member of a friend.

The view from her location.
The views the other direction

After a short visit, We then drove along… first past Niagara Falls, then Milton, then Braeside, then Abbotsford… another day where we were not sure what country we were in. 😂

The views were still interesting

We came to Florence Hill Lookout, overlooking Tautuku beach… great surf off the Pacific
The road was windy…

We then stopped for a break and switching drivers in Papatowa, and discovered a hidden gem, where the river meets the sea

Painting worthy!?
Charming
Stormy ocean meets the river.
Calm River

We continued our journey… enjoying the views, such as they were

Misty…
you can see the potential in this one!

After a few false starts, We managed to find a Fish and chip takeaway for a late lunch, as it is Friday! We arrived at our little Bnb nestled on the hill overlooking Oamaru, the Steam Punk Capital of New Zealand. Hopefully the sky’s will clear overnight, so we can truly enjoy the view!

The view!

Beautiful landscape, easy to get confused where you are at since the names of the cities and towns are similar “Abbotsford”.
    Keep on Truckin’ you two!!
