Today we changed Islands!
We left our beautiful Farm tiny house., and headed to Picton.

It was a scenic journey. Are you surprised?

It was not all beautiful scenery tho… you can’t go anywhere in New Zealand without 1) crossing a “one way” bridge. 2) getting stuck behind a slow vehicle

We got the ferry, and waited… they had sent an email saying that checkin started at 11:30, and there was a line up already when we got there at 11:35… and it was not moving.
When they finally opened the ticket booths, we saw the TINY sign that said that they would open at noon today, because of training… all good… we were in either way!

We parked the car and headed to the passenger decks.
We managed to find a comfy-ish table with a window seat. The window was rather salt covered, so the view was not perfect. But good enough!!

The seas swelled, and some passengers… (near us) were not well… I had a gravol just before taking the above pics… so all good here!
The window got a lot more salt spray on it.. making pictures as we arrived in Wellington no good.
We made it safe and sound… and disembarked

As we drove out of the harbour to our hotel, we spotted our friend… the MS Westerdam on its way to Auckland for its last trip around New Zealand before we catch up with it again in Sydney at the end of the month.
See you in two weeks!
