Brisbane, a city of a winding river, hot streets, lovely cool wharf, and a rather modern classic cathedral. They finished building it in 2009, 108 years after they started, in true cathedral style. We relocated again yesterday driving from Bundaberg to Brisbane. Just drive… nothing exciting to report. We arrived at our holiday park, complete with lovely pool and licensed restaurant. So we did! This morning, we had a leisurely coffee, breakfast and did a few loads of Laundry. And hung out at the pool, waiting for it…

We left Marlborough, and Ernie and Bert and continued our trek south. It was just a day of travel… no scenic stops, no great vistas… just Sugar Cane, and Cows. We passed through the city of Rockhampton, the cattle city of Queensland. And it was… We landed in Bundaberg, and camping in its even smaller…

Both are good themes for today. Although later in the day… “old Hiram’s Goat” came up… It was a driving day… we left Airlie Beach after breakfast, refueling and selfie on the beach, and hit the road. The drive from Airlie beach south is (honestly) rather dull. Sugar canes. Sugar trains, sugar Museums, sugar institutes…

Today we booked a day at THE beach. Whitehaven, on Whitsunday. We got up in the morning and had our breakfast at the communal kitchen, as our camp site had NO Shade, and it was already getting on to a million degrees. We headed then to the reception to change sites, as we needed shade.…
