Welcome 2025!

We spent the last day of 2024, doing a mini exploration of Melbourne Docklands.

We took the tram.. free! Did we say we Love Melbourne transportation?

Unfortunately our primary goal was closed, it is only open twice a month…🤔. But we still enjoyed the exploring.

First we crossed the Webb Bridge, it was originally supposed to be a train bridge to transport goods, but changed purpose mid build, and was redesigned to imitate an indigenous eel trap.

We then wandered over to the Polly Woodside (which was closed). But other interesting things around

The Ferris Wheel
I found a friend!
Funky art

We then wandered down the waterfront.. and paused so I could paint a skyline painting

My beginning of the painting… finished later in hotel.

We then headed down and crossed over to the Museum of Immigration. Very interesting.

The museum.

We then wandered back to our hotel… but stopped for some refreshments…at a pub… where cricket and American football were playing side by side.

That evening we decided to stay in as our wandering had resulted in tired legs…

But the Fireworks were still impressive from our hotel. Melbourne sets off fireworks from 27 buildings in the downtown area. There is no bad place to be.

We welcomed the new year, and headed off to bed to start the new year refreshed.

Then the next day… we did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
