Wagga to Berra Birthday

We started our Sunday …. Yup! At church!

We attended the Wagga Anglian Parish Church of St Johns. The parish was friendly and open, and we enjoyed a cuppa after the service in their lovely hall. Unfortunately, like so many churches these days, they are searching for a rector.. apparently it has an amazing rectory… if anyone wants to apply…best view in town according to parishioner!

The church is at the corner of Church and Cross street, and apparently, that is where all the churches are…

Look to the left.. St Micheal’s – RC
Look to the right. St Andrew – Presbyterian

We then headed back to the Botanical Gardens and Zoo. Because on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month… the mini train runs!

The train returning.
The same train coming in.
Our train ride!

We then headed out of town and made our way towards Canberra.

After some initial challenges getting into our AirBnb, we discovered the roof top pool, and had a cooling dip, and admired the 360 view of Canberra.

We then headed out for a birthday dinner at a local watering hole, The Old Canberra Inn, were we were entertained by a local Live country musician!

Loved the ambiance

As birthdays go, it was low key, but action packed at the same time.

A good day.

The best part, it was only Feb 1 in Canada. So I get to have a real ground hog day experience and celebrate my birthday again tomorrow!
